In Arrivo HD 7.3 Offers New Technologies to Enhance the Experience of the International Travellers to Rome
Rome’s top public transport app now provides even more information to travellers in the Eternal City, faster than ever before.
To better aid tourists and travellers, the In Arrivo app has undergone a major overhaul. Several changes have been made to improve speed and stability of the app so to help visitors to Rome have an even more enjoyable stay.
“We wanted to make In Arrivo more responsive to help travellers get the information they need, when they need it,” said lead developer Fabrizio Bartolomucci. “The new app now provides more information about metro lines, bus routes and taxis, faster than ever before.”
Among the core enhancements has been a switch to pure Apple technologies, including turn-by-turn directions for mapping. The app has also been rewritten to provide 64-bit processor support as found in the new iPhone 5s and iPad Air.
In Arrivo now provides additional peace of mind for travellers using the app by showing the suggested route to their destination. Using this route-mapping feature, visitors will be able to see when the taxi has deviated from its route and to ask the driver for an explanation. Taxi drivers will also receive advance notice of their passenger’s destination, as will other travellers looking to share a ride and split fares.
Bus users will also appreciate the addition of a mapping tool that shows them the correct route to their nearest bus stop. The use of the new Apple mapping technologies also means that walkers will be able to reach their intended destination quicker by passing through public parks and gardens. Social users will also appreciate mapping based on walking routes, making it easier to meet friends – anywhere in the world.
“In Arrivo remains the only comprehensive transit app for Rome,” continued Bartolomucci, “With just one app, travellers can book taxis, catch a bus, plan a metro trip and even make new friends and split cab fares. And with support for seven languages, virtually anyone can use it to get around the city.”
As before, In Arrivo also includes the in-app upgrades Time Machine and Teleport to add even greater functionality to the app. With advance planning tools, it becomes even easier for travellers to create itineraries, or to make new friends with social path planning.
There have also been a number of fixes applied to improve the overall stability of the app. Backwards compatibility has also been added for devices running as far back as iOS 6.1.
And for the first time ever, readers of iPhone Life magazine will see In Arrivo HD featured in the Summer edition.
In Arrivo 7.3 is compatible with all devices running iOS 6.1 and higher.
